Paperline Terms of Use

Effective date: November 1, 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the conditions, rights and obligations between DAYLAB (the "Company") and users of the Paperline mobile app (iOS, bundle ID: dev.daylab.paperline).

2. Definitions

The "Service" is the Paperline app, which uses AI to read photos and PDFs you take or choose and turns them into Excel, Word, PDF or text files. A "page" is one photo or one PDF page to convert. A "page pack" is a paid product that buys a set number of pages at once. The "Store" is the Apple App Store.

3. Effect, acceptance and changes

These Terms take effect when posted in the app or on the web. The app's first screen shows links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy; if you keep using the Service after that, you are deemed to agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete the app. The Company announces changes 7 days before they take effect, and changes unfavorable to users 30 days before.

4. The Service

The Service reads photos and PDFs and produces files in the format you choose. You can save the files on your device or share them to other apps; the policies of the place you save or share to apply there. To convert, photos and PDFs are sent to the Company's server and to Google Cloud AI. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Accuracy of results

AI can misread blurry text, handwriting or complex tables. The app marks parts it is unsure of, but it cannot catch every error. You are responsible for checking result files against the original before using them for important purposes (contracts, accounting, legal, medical, etc.).

6. Your documents

Convert only documents you have the right to convert. Rights to the originals and the result files belong to you or the rightful owner, and the Company does not use them for any purpose other than conversion. The Company's server deletes conversion results automatically after 1 day, so save the files you need on your device.

7. Free pages and page packs

Pages are deducted when a conversion starts and are returned if the conversion fails. The actual price is the amount shown on the Store payment screen for your country and currency. Remaining pages are linked to your device ID and may not move to another device.

8. Payment

Payments are processed by the Store. The Company does not receive payment method details.

9. Withdrawal and refunds

Under Article 17 of the Korean E-Commerce Act, withdrawal may be limited once delivery of digital content has begun (once pages have been used). Payments and refunds are handled by the Store, so the Store's refund policy and procedure apply first; the Company cannot issue refunds directly. The Company will provide guidance on request. This section does not limit consumer rights guaranteed by law, and EU consumers' statutory right of withdrawal follows the Store's procedure.

10. Restoring purchases

You can reload the purchase history of the same Store account with "Restore purchase" on the pricing screen.

11. Your obligations

You must comply with the law and these Terms, and must not use the Service unlawfully, convert documents that infringe the rights of others, reverse engineer, alter or copy the Service without permission, or manipulate device IDs to receive free pages repeatedly.

12. Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights in the Service and its components belong to the Company or the rightful owners.

13. Changes and suspension of the Service

The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and will announce important changes in the app or on the web in advance. If the Service ends, remaining paid pages are handled in accordance with applicable law and Store policy.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and except in cases of the Company's intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damage caused by using AI misreadings without checking them, by failures of your device, operating system, the Store or communication networks, or by external storage or sharing services you choose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Additional terms for Apple App Store users

These Terms are an agreement between you and the Company, and Apple is not a party. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the Service. Warranty-related refunds follow Apple's policy. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce this section.

16. Privacy

Matters regarding personal data follow the Paperline Privacy Policy.

17. Age

The Service is not directed at children under 14. Purchases by minors follow the Store's parental settings and the consent of a legal guardian.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the competent court for disputes is determined under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Consumers in the EU and elsewhere do not lose the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.

These Terms are provided in several languages for your convenience. If the versions differ, the Korean version prevails.

20. Supplementary provision

These Terms take effect on November 1, 2026.
